Cellulitis - The worst
Cellulitis - The worst
By Dylan Morris
Okay we have all probably seen an ad for some skincare, but have you ever thought about what the diseases do to you? Well after reading this you will. In this article, I will be focusing on one specific bacterial infection - Cellulitis. Cellulitis is a non-contagious bacterial infection that is gotten by bacteria entering the body via open skin. The infection usually causes a rash where the bacteria got in but my doctors think the bacteria traveled from somewhere I had open skin. The rash will start rapidly growing, being hot to the touch and start radiating heat. At that point, you should see a doctor within 1 - 3 days of the rash showing up. The doctor will most likely prescribe you Cephalexin or Clindamycin. I was prescribed Cephalexin but after 4 doses, it did not get any better so I was prescribed Clindamycin. After 11 doses of it, the rash has gotten a lot better. The picture you see above is a picture of it last Monday at a walk-in.
Symptoms will include pain, rash, heat on the rash, and itchiness during healing.
